On our happy first… at DeePositive Intertainment we’d like to introduce you to another happy first…

Our First IPR at DeePositive “Santa Workshop”

…And OUR first expansion into creating a more Gratitude filled DeePositive experience DeePositive Foundation!!

365 days of being DeePositive is a reason to celebrate Gratitude in a grand way!! A thought born in 2009, became what we now know as DeePositive Intertainment in 2010!!

We needed to make this day special… and so, we’re choosing this day to ANNOUNCE… “Santa Workshop” a DeePositive initiative to spread the joy of RECEIVING!!

Our intention is to, RECEIVE 1,00,000 gifts from the people who can GIVE to 1,00,000 people around Delhi NCR who will be SURPRISED to RECEIVE a GIFT this Christmas!

A Diwali experiment confirmed our resolve, this year on diwali we took a drive around parts of South Delhi distributing crackers to street children and it brought us such immeasurable joy! We truly wished we have done this for many more, irrespective of age!! The expressions on their faces, were inspired and grateful for to them a BOX of crackers meant more than left over sweets! To a child, the excitement of crackers is what symbolizes the celebration of Diwali!!

So our gift to many children this year for Christmas… is a present from Santa… the Santa within us to the Santa they have only seen on billboards and in newspaper pictures! Santa Workshop is an idea, a tiny nudge in the direction of reviving the understanding that GIVING is RECEIVING!! J A ripple of Gratitude!!

A noble cause… YES!! With a memory that makes it even more special… a story of our own! As children brought up by a single parent, our childhood years were filled with longing to receive presents. The presents we ever wanted were simple… A packet of colours on Holi, for Diwali it was crackers and for Christmas… we would hope that Santa would leave us a present under our scrawny tree! I guess, just someone, a stranger… with a special PRESENT just for us… with our names on it! Now, 27 years later, as a brand, DeePositive has chosen this as our first STEP forward in our TERRIFIC TWO’s to being Dedicated to doing our bit to make it possible for others to RECEIVE a token of surprise on a day about RECEIVING!!

We feel that Christmas Giving needn’t be restricted to children… for at any age… there is a CHILD within who loves to get a present… so, we made a list of people who we’d like to share a token of appreciation and a surprise with…

Street Children, Orphans, Metro Station Staff working the Christmas Shift, Bus Drivers and Conductors on Santa’s City Route, Shelters for the homeless, People sweeping our streets, they do a thankless job!, Police personnel on the Santa’s City Route, Children of construction workers, Slum areas on Santa’s City Route, Old Age homes, Centres for the terminally ill… these we’ll confirm as we continue to build the list… and update you too!!

The Idea feels fantastic; we KNOW we would like to include anyone and everyone who extends an arm… to GIVE to be a part of a LARGE community of GIVERS!! We’re asking for little gifts that will make a large impact, when given TOGETHER!!

To make them feel warm: Gloves, Scarves, Shawls, Blankets, Caps

To make them smile: Toffees, Chocolates, Biscuits, Lollipops

To make them feel special: Just be a part of Santa Workshop! J

25^th December: Santa’s Day Out! Followed by an Elves lunch at Santa’s Workshop!

In conversation with….

…Dee. I’ve been doing almost nothing for a week and its disturbing me. Just a couple of meetings , cricket and Veer have filled up my diary for the week. Would you believe that for the last 24 hours I’ve been feeling unwell… finding it rather tiring, mentally to handle this.

Just the feeling of letting my mind wander into the vacant spaces in my life is causing more pain… for all of you who have been through this… let me know how you got out… and for those who are hearing of this for the first time… mark this space for the symptoms ;)

I don’t know if it is easier to bust your ass for someone else’s profit or work for yourself. In the last couple of months its been more meetings than work. I am wondering if that is the way all business starts… everyday there is a new learning and its fascinating and frustrating to learn at snail pace.

It is amazing how the point of thought changes from auto to manual. For most of us who are used to working for other people and finding all that could be set right in their processes there is an even greater pressure to create a world called business that is led by empowering the human spirit instead of burdening it with profit loss and revenue. For if you have read the lives of  people who made it big… I’ve had the joy of meeting and working with some of them… It is fascinating to see how passion led their path even when all else told them to quit!!

Making this frustration count is the story that must be told. You need to fight the internal need to take it easy to make things happen and you will be surprised how brilliant the path that unfolds is… there is a special excitement in the unfolding.

The power path of gratitude during this phase is the most intriguing…

Presentations that used to be 60 minutes of work have how converted to 60hrs… in thanking God for the blessing of being able to complete it… was a prompt to call a friend I’d promised to call… the learning… “ Get yourself to a Cafe Coffee day or a Five Star Hotel lounge and make your presentations… It gets done in a flash” . In accepting that things are going at snail pace is a realisation in itself I guess. In meeting or getting to know more people who are possibly headed in the same direction, the fascination that there is more to what I can do than I can’t.

Another brilliant understanding, well, you need a space you define as office to get into the mode of WORK. Simple, we associate home with rest, comfort and relaxation. Therefore, working from home, slows the pace of work. You take more breaks than you’d take while in office. Things to do at home continue to come in focus and take most of your time and attention. There is also this overwhelming need to switch on the TV and check what’s airing… just for a break… that takes up enormous time.

The connection between the calls you get are the thoughts you think. When I need a little bit of advice or want to share a thought manifested … more often than not… the phone rings… it usually is a call from someone who will not only listen patiently, who will also point to a possible way forward. The fascinating fact about being in this phase is that, it takes moments like writing these thoughts and making new foundations for remaining fascinated by the process. Till I started writing this piece, I didn’t realise how precious every manifestation really is… I am thankful, more now, than ever for every frustration… in sharing it… unedited from the core of my being comes the realisation that all is SWELL in my abundant world.

Got to sign out now… I’m waiting for another answer and the phone is going to ring ;)

Like a dream come true… I heard you speak

Your voice so strong… yet so meek

As the wind chimes spoke with the breeze…

I felt a rush of excitement in my spine… and weak in the knees

I knew just then… I knew it strong

I knew in that moment… exactly where I belong

For those of you who read this ... Here’s a wish from my heart

May every breath from this moment on be blessed with the joy of being whole.

As I share this joy with every living soul
