Class of ‘95… Reconnected Rediscovered Redefined!!

I’ve been looking around for something new to do! I guess I need to fill in the gap of the idle mind, which is slowly becoming an workshop of the bored mind. Then I found some people truly have changed a million perspectives and have become such a brilliant part of the person I am.
Its time to take a post to introduce some of the strong women I’ve rediscovered, they don’t cease to amaze me, each time we meet, there is something special about each of them, that shows up… I am happy to have you in my life… Thank you Girls!!
The first relationship truly rediscovered was with Devika Chopra Mahajan, in the early days of Orkut, we connected, did some truly crazy stuff, included creating a community on orkut Honest Opinion, the wicked two did a lot of dhamaal on Orkut!! One of the most special things I remember is writing scraps in sync, almost a song… ha ha ha!! Since then, she’s mommy of two truly handsome little boys! Latest is that this special MOMMA is now a famous Momma… get onto FB and get the details Peppy ishtyle!!
The first of the series… well… Uma Handa Rai. A few chats over gtalk later we met in Delhi. A series of happy manifestations later… I realise that Jiah is the key to keep a tab on when we reconnected. Uma hasn’t changed since school and that is the most exciting part of reconnecting with her… meeting her… well… with the super happy news of her pregnancy. The fabulous part of reconnecting with her is getting a chance to bully Sonali Malik , who I’d been chatting forever on orkut and then facebook… we had to bully her into delaying a date ;) with a promise that we would deliver her to him personally, we got her to join us at Uma’s place… an evening to remember… Connaught Place, QBa… a brilliant journey of catching up started… I wonder if you’ve seen the photos of this first meet??? Take a look at them here
Then came a series of opening conversations with girls from across India and across the globe, new connections on Facebook… here’s a list you’d want to connect with if you’re one of the girls of the batch of ‘95… Check out my friends list, you’ll find a load of familiar faces for sure!!!
Then came 2010 a year of great beginnings… January 1st… and after many online and mobile conversations I finally met up with Geetanjali Bhagra Sharma, Ruchita Chachra, Sonali Malik, Radhika Arora, Devika Chopra Mahajan, Uma Handa Rai!! And since there’s already a post on this meet… well… read more
A trend had begun, which we wanted to cash in on… we were ready for the next event… Nostalgia Meet… this time the venue, even more special… school. It was truly overwhelming really… every part of the school had a story to tell read more… and then ofcourse there were other discoveries to be made along with Ruchi Khanna Tandonand Manisha Gogia Sethi both of whom were quite a revelation in themselves!!! The clincher of this meet was the 178+ comments on the album and the fact that we had tagged more than 70 girls on a special feature created to mark the day. Creating moments of special bonding makes it even more special!!!
Then came our next date with nostalgia, this time for a cause… and the cause was… meeting up… as many times as we could!!! Diamonds are a girls best Memories this meet was planned to support Pooja Arora Joneja, who is a jewellery designer by profession… more importantly, one of the girls of the batch of ‘95. Here we had the pleasure of meeting some more girls, the regulars were of course always make it a point to be there… Ruchita Chachra, Sonali Malik, Radhika Arora, Ruchi Tandon and Me!!! The gang got extended… Radhika Sharma Singh, Niti Sobti Tandon all of whom were a super pleasure to chat up with!! We even did a number on the ramp for the pleasure of taking pictures, we even got to wear some of the exquisite jewellery she designed!! The Showstopper… well… the bracelet refusing to come off Radhika’s hand… ha ha ha. The star of the event… more than the diamonds… Jai Raj Singh… Radhika Sharma Singh’s personal diamond!!
Then came the shortest party of the season, this one introduced 4 new stars!! Hello Girls since that is about all we managed, there were quick fire updates, a chance to meet Radhika Arora’s two stars… Kanuraj and Yashasvini ( you can get a closer look at these stars on Radhika’s photos), have to mention here, that they are brilliantly brought up, very quiet like their Mom(used to be) and such a pleasure to give a quick hug. The girls we finally managed to meet up with, Naomi Ann Lobo, Jyoti Gupta Manchanda, Rimjhim Verma and Ekkta Madan… Here I have to make mention of something special that I’ve continued to observe… Radhika Arora always manages to make it to every meet, even if she’s there for 30 minutes, each of those minutes is super precious!! Ruchita Chachra is another person who ensures she is always available and so totally absorbed in every plan. Sonali Malik, managed to give us the ditch, I can promise you though that no meet feels complete without her being there… We even tried to blackmail her into coming, nothing works when she has work to do… We’re super lucky that you choose us more often… ha ha ha.
Then comes the time to tell you what all of this does for me… I am blessed to enjoy the power of belonging to such a fabulous lot of women. Each of them inspire me to be the person I’ve dreamt I wanted to be, from each of the girls I draw a special energy which is super special. I am blessed and each one of the girls is the miracle I needed to feel bonded for life. In rediscovering each of you, I’ve rediscovered the pleasure of being me. Its phenomenal to know I had you’ll for 12 years of my life… and truly discovered WHY of it all… NOW… that we’re connected again… Thank you Girls!!!
